Gynecology and obstetrics consultation

Gynecological Consultation

Routine gynecological consultations provide regular monitoring of women’s health at every life stage: contraception, pregnancy planning, menopause, or simply an annual check-up. It includes a clinical examination and, as needed, a cervical smear or pelvic ultrasound.

Pregnancy Monitoring

Pregnancy monitoring combines regular consultations, clinical examinations and ultrasounds at key milestones (see 3D/4D Ultrasound), supporting the patient from confirmation of pregnancy through delivery. This monitoring ensures the pregnancy is progressing well and allows for early detection of any complications.

What Happens During a Consultation

  1. A discussion takes place about the reason for the visit and the patient's medical history.

  2. An appropriate clinical examination is then performed.

  3. Depending on the situation, additional examinations can be carried out on-site (ultrasound, colposcopy, hysteroscopy), avoiding the need for multiple separate appointments.

Prevention and Screening

Prevention of cervical disease, particularly related to HPV, relies on the cervical smear performed during consultation and, if an abnormality is found, on a dedicated colposcopy (see Colposcopy). Regular screening allows for early detection of potential lesions and ongoing follow-up.
